Day 01 Arrive Kigali Airport

As you touch down at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda, Paw print Venture fantastic representatives/guides will be there to warmly welcome you to Rwanda. They’ll provide you with all the details about your safari adventure. From there, we’ll swiftly transport you to your accommodation, where you can unwind, relax, and enjoy your overnight stay. Get ready for an epic arrival in Rwanda!

Day 02 Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

After savoring a delightful breakfast, prepare for an exciting day exploring Kigali City. Your friendly tour driver-guide will pick you up to show you the city’s best sights. You’ll be amazed as you visit the national museum, local markets, art and craft shops, and the Genocide Memorial Ground. These are all must-see places that provide a deeper understanding of the city and its history. Next, it’s time for a scenic transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Located in the southwestern part of Rwanda, Nyungwe is an absolute gem you shouldn’t miss during your Rwanda safari. This place is breathtaking, with stunning natural beauty that will leave you in awe. As you enter the park, you’ll be surrounded by ancient trees, creating a perfect habitat for various primates. Keep an eye out for chimpanzees, black and white Colobus monkeys, and many other incredible creatures that call Nyungwe home.

Day 03 Chimp Trekking and The Afternoon Canopy Walk Experience

Kickstart your day with a delicious breakfast before heading to the trekking point. There, you’ll receive a helpful briefing on the dos and don’ts of chimp trekking. Once you’re ready, it’s time to enter the forest and witness these incredible primates up close in their natural habitat. After a morning filled with awe-inspiring sightings, head back to your accommodation for a tasty lunch and a well-deserved rest. But the excitement isn’t over yet. Get ready for a unique experience as you embark on a canopy walk. This two-hour walk will take you on a trail that hangs 60 meters above the forest floor, offering breathtaking aerial views of the national park, its wildlife, the nearby communities, the majestic Virunga Volcanoes, and even attractions in neighboring countries.

Day 04 Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Begin your day with a laid-back breakfast at your accommodation, then prepare for an exciting adventure to Volcanoes National Park. Located in the northwestern part of Rwanda, this park shares borders with Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. Although the drive might be a bit long, it’s absolutely captivating as you pass through charming villages and picturesque green countryside. There won’t be a dull moment on this journey! Once you arrive at your accommodation, you can simply check in, relax, and recharge for the action-packed day ahead.

Day 05 Trekking Mount Bisoke

If you’re a fan of hiking and breathtaking views, look no further than Mount Bisoke. Today, after a delicious breakfast, grab your packed lunch and make your way to the starting point in Kinigi. Once there, you’ll receive a briefing and set off with a knowledgeable ranger-guide to trek Mount Bisoke, which stands at an impressive 3,711 meters above sea level. The ascent will take around 4-5 hours, followed by a 3-hour descent. Once you reach the summit, you’ll be treated to the stunning sight of a beautiful crater lake. Afterward, head back to your accommodation for some well-deserved rest. If you’re feeling up for it, you can even consider a local community cultural encounter later in the day. So lace up those hiking boots and get ready for an unforgettable adventure on Mount Bisoke!

Day 06 Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi

Golden monkey trekking is a captivating experience offered at Volcanoes National Park, a haven for these endangered monkey species. Alongside gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking commences at 7:00 am, allowing visitors to witness these rare creatures in their natural habitat. This close encounter with these magnificent creatures is an opportunity to observe their unique characteristics and witness their playful interactions. After the trek, take a moment to relax and savor a delicious lunch at your accommodation.

In the afternoon, we will drive you to the Cyanika Border Post, where you will be warmly welcomed by our Uganda-based professional tour driver-guide, who will take over from our Rwanda-based colleague.

Day 07 Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest NP

Begin your day with a nourishing breakfast before heading to the rangers’ post in Bwindi Forest National Park for an informative briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking.

The landscape is truly remarkable, with steep and dense forests intertwined with countless animal trails that allow tourists to explore the area. The duration and difficulty of the trek may vary depending on the movement of these magnificent primates.

However, once you encounter a gorilla group, you will have the privilege of spending an entire hour in their presence. This experience is truly extraordinary, bringing you up close and personal with these gentle yet endangered giants. After this unforgettable encounter, return to your accommodation to rest and rejuvenate your body after a day filled with excitement and physical exertion.

Day 08 Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Begin your day by rising early, enjoying a nourishing breakfast, and then setting off on a transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This particular area is renowned for its remarkable population of tree-climbing lions.

Once you arrive, embark on a game drive in search of these rare lions. If luck is on your side and you manage to spot them perched in the trees, the sight is both picturesque and truly unforgettable. After your wildlife encounter, depart from Ishasha towards your pre-booked accommodation in the north sector of the park. Upon arrival, check-in and take some time to rest and relax.

Day 09 Queen Elizabeth National Park Game Drive and Kazinga Boat Ride

Start your day off right by waking up early and enjoying a hearty breakfast. Then, embark on an exciting morning game drive in the stunning Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for incredible wildlife sightings such as Cape buffalos, herds of elephants, and if you’re lucky, the elusive lions and leopards.

After a thrilling morning wildlife adventure, return to your accommodation for some much-needed rest and a delicious lunch. Once you’re rejuvenated, get ready for a two-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, which connects the breathtaking Lakes George and Edward. This boat ride offers unparalleled views of wildlife, including majestic hippos, mighty elephants, and even impressive crocodiles. Additionally, the water shores are teeming with an array of bird species, providing a delightful opportunity for bird watching enthusiasts.

Day 10 Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Start your day early and enjoy a hearty breakfast before embarking on a captivating morning game drive or safari. After this thrilling experience, make your way to the esteemed Kibale Forest National Park. Upon arrival, indulge in a delicious lunch and take some time to relax. In the afternoon, prepare yourself for a fascinating excursion to the renowned Bigodi Wetlands.

Bigodi boasts an impressive range of biodiversity, including various species of primates like the baboon and black and white Colobus monkey. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by the plentiful opportunities for sightings as well, with the Great Blue Turaco being one of the notable avian species within the wetland. Conclude your day by unwinding at your pre-booked accommodation, where you can enjoy a relaxing overnight stay. Make the most of your time in Kibale Forest National Park and take part in a memorable Bigodi wetlands tour.

Day 11 Crater Lakes Tour

Embark on a crater lake tour in Kibale and start your day by indulging in a delicious breakfast. Day 12 Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Indulge in a leisurely breakfast before embarking on your journey to the majestic Murchison Falls National Park. This park is renowned for its awe-inspiring features, such as the thundering rapids of the Murchison and the vast plains of Uganda’s largest national park. Prepare to witness the incredible wildlife that inhabits this area, including lions, leopards, giraffes, hartebeests, buffalos, and elephants. Keep your eyes peeled for the abundant hippos and Nile crocodiles that will undoubtedly captivate you. Wildlife enthusiasts will be delighted to know that Murchison Falls is home to over 450 bird species, including the magnificent grey parrot, enchanting dwarf kingfisher, and the majestic Goliath heron. Arriving in time for a delectable lunch and some well-deserved rest at the lodge, you will then embark on an enthralling afternoon-to-evening safari. Day 13 Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Start your day with a fulfilling breakfast before embarking on an early morning game drive at Murchison Falls National Park. This expansive park offers breathtaking views of Uganda’s rolling plains and the chance to spot a variety of majestic wildlife, including elusive lions and leopards. Bird enthusiasts will also be delighted by the numerous avian species that can be observed during the drive. After your exciting game drive, return to your accommodation for some well-deserved rest and a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a relaxing boat cruise along the Nile River. This scenic journey will take you to the base of Murchison Falls, where you can marvel at the presence of hippos, crocodiles, and an array of beautiful water birds. If you’re feeling adventurous, you have the option to take a hike to the top of the falls, albeit at an additional cost. While this hike may be physically demanding, the sense of accomplishment upon reaching the summit is truly unforgettable.

Day 14 Transfer to Entebbe and Departure

Breakfast will be served before departing for the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Once we arrive at Ziwa, an experienced ranger-guide will accompany you on a one-hour rhino tracking expedition on foot. After this exhilarating experience, we will arrange a transfer to Entebbe Airport, ensuring enough time for you to catch your flight.
